Mouthpiece ventilation set - for Ventilogic LS/Plus as of SN 15.000

Mouthpiece ventilation is particularly suitable for patients with neuromuscular or thoracic restrictive diseases, e.g.

    Amyothrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
    Muscular dystrophy
    Spinal muscular atrophy I, II, III
    Skeletal disorders (kyphoscoliosis)

The Mouthpiece Ventilation Kit (MPV) contains everything needed to enable mouthpiece ventilation and to fix the mouthpiece firmly and securely in any position.
The MPV set consists of:

    Holding arm
    Tube
    Mouthpiece

The advantage of mouthpiece ventilation is that the patient can initiate his own ventilation stroke.

The mouthpiece can be attached comfortably and easily accessible to the bed or wheelchair. This gives the patient maximum freedom of movement and makes eating and drinking easier.

By using mouthpiece ventilation, leakage or pressure points can also be avoided, as there is no direct connection between the device and the patient. Mouthpiece ventilation can be used in pressure or volume controlled modes.

Mouthpiece ventilation mode is integrated in Ventilogic LS and Plus from SN 15.000.
